Greetings and salutations!
I am just a geeky nerd who is realizing that she is just too old school for the ways of this dating world. I love and value a good conversation and they are hard to find these days. And in this day and age where we seem to only be able to absorb short blobs of info at a time it makes it quite difficult to find someone who understands that. Its impossible to understand someone in a short amount of time. Yet there is this underlining rush to get ourselves out there. We are all complex in our own ways, we may have simple tastes and likes and even dislikes but simple things, simple experiences didn't make us into who we are, the rough spots did, and no rough spot is easy. Basically getting to know a person takes time and I'd like to take my time and would appreciate if you took the time too!
That being said I'd like to build something with someone. I'd like to find a guy that I can call my friend who is open minded, honest, has a sense of humor (meaning can take whatever life may throw his way and still laugh through it all), compassionate, a hard worker who wants to play harder.
And me? Well I am simple woman. I don't need things to keep me happy. I am happy spending time with my friends and family. I want to do things I haven't done, go to places I haven't gone and try new foods. I love the ocean. I am a sit down and absorb the moment type and I dont find too many people that want to do/enjoy that. I dont think that I am cut out for online dating but I try and that's all we can do sometimes.
I am also quite independent both in a support myself kind of way and do my own thang, lol. That's not to say I dont know how to compromise and other things but I find alot of men find it a flaw so I guess I throw it out there as a warning, if you aren't particularly drawn to a woman who can think for herself and do for herself turn back now! Falling rocks ahead! Caution! Danger Will Robinson! Lol
